Children's rooms move from first message to settled furniture in clear stages. The timeline below is how Simple Kinship Rooms works inside Prague flats — panelák and heritage alike.
Vertical timeline
1 · Write or call with the brief
Send the child's age, room photos, and whether the flat is panelák or older stock. We reply with a fee band and available visit slots within two working days.
2 · Visit and measure on site
We record walls, doors, radiators, sockets, and elevator or stair limits. Parents mark must-keep pieces. The visit usually lasts sixty to ninety minutes.
3 · Receive the concept plan
You get a measured layout, a furniture list in EUR, and notes on lighting and storage heights. One round of written adjustments is included in concept packages.
4 · Order and sequence deliveries
We help you order in an order that matches building access. Flat-pack assembly days are planned around school and nap schedules when needed.
5 · Optional settle visit
On request we return while furniture is placed, check heights, and leave a one-page care note for finishes and textile cleaning.
How long a typical room takes
From first visit to a usable room often spans three to six weeks, depending on supplier lead times. Joinery made by a local carpenter can add two to four weeks. Nurseries timed to a due date should start earlier to absorb delays.
Rush work inside two weeks is sometimes possible when the family already owns beds and only needs layout and storage advice; fees reflect the compressed calendar.
What we need from you
Clear photos in daylight, approximate room dimensions if you have them, and honesty about budget for furniture as well as design fees. A budget of €1,200 for furniture supports a very different list than €3,500; both can work if the plan matches.
Access notes matter: which days the building allows deliveries, whether a parking permit is required near Karlova or in residential zones, and who will be home for assembly.
Working with landlords and co-op rules
Rented flats limit drilling and paint colours. We favour freestanding pieces and tension rods where rules are strict. Owner-occupied flats in cooperatives may still need neighbour notices for noisy assembly; we flag that in the sequence plan.
Heritage interiors with protected features stay untouched; furniture works around them rather than covering them.
Payments and next step
Concept work is invoiced fifty percent to begin and fifty percent on delivery of the plan. Full packages follow the same split, with settle visits billed after they occur. All amounts are in EUR as listed on the pricing page.
